Creating this Business & Life Coach Directory has been a passion project of mine for some time now and I'm so excited that it's finally come to fruition.

What is Coach Connect Australia?

In a nutshell, Coach Connect Australia has two purposes:

For clients:

To be the ultimate resource for people wanting to improve their life or business with professional coaching. We believe that no one should be denied access to the invaluable service that is coaching. That is why we have a wide range of coaches with varying levels of skills and experience.

So, there is a coach to suit everyone, no matter their needs or budget.

To support their coaching journey further, we also showcase informative and inspiring articles, as well as coaching events.

We help coaches to build their online presence & reach a targeted audience in a compelling way. We’ve done the hard yards so our coaches can spend less time pulling their hair out, and more time doing what they do best… coaching!

Furthermore, just as we want to make coaching available to all people, we also want to help coaches have access to affordable and effective advertising. Whether you’re a start-up or a seasoned campaigner, we have options to accommodate all needs & budgets.

How we support coaches:

1. Business Listings - Our carefully considered listing pages have been designed to ensure our coaches can display their personality as well as the value they have to offer.
2. Listing Promotions - For those that want even more exposure & to boost their leads.
3. Coaching Events - So you can generate more interest in your upcoming events.
4. Blog Posts - Coaches can write or share their own articles to increase brand exposure, and get more website traffic, plus SEO benefits!

Who am I?

As mentioned above, my name is Libby and I am the founder of Coach Connect Australia (CCA). I own my own web development company, Rivmedia Web Design and as such, I have a sound understanding of website best practices and digital marketing strategies.

This is particularly advantageous because it means ongoing management costs for the site do not have to be outsourced which allows me to make our services incredibly cost-effective, while still being able to deliver bucket loads of value to our coaches!

Additionally, I’m currently undergoing coaching education myself via The Coaching Institute (TCI), and other various sources. As a result, I have inside knowledge of the industry, its challenges, and desired outcomes for those within it.

So, it’s fair to say that I have an advantageous combination of insight, knowledge, and skills ideal for running a coaching directory website.

How Was Coach Connect Australia Created?

From a personal perspective...

It was the business side of things that initially led me to undergo coaching education, so I could enhance what I could offer to my current clients. While I have gained much in this area, it is my personal life where I have ended up gaining the most.

The insight, awareness and strategies I have learned from studying coaching have been invaluable, and as a result, I have immense appreciation for the industry.

Having experienced my own personal successes with coaching, I wanted to dive into it even further. Sure, there were Facebook groups and the like where you could search for coaches, or publish a post for what you were looking for, but it was somewhat hit and miss. There were some available but they were still far from ideal.

They were either:

• International - meaning the directory pages were overwhelming and at times frustrating; you might find someone only to discover that the time difference, payment options etc. were barriers.
• Incomplete - they didn't provide all that much information to make an informed choice
• Difficult to navigate - It was easy enough to explore listing pages via category and location for most sites, but what about further refinements? For example, the kind of people the coach works with (men, women, companies, children etc.) and specific features they offer (such as pro bono sessions). It was hard to find any that offered that.

As a result, I thought how great it would be if you could find Australian based coaches, and compare them based on a variety of specific needs & requirements, in one easy to browse website.

From a business perspective...

In networking and communicating with other coaches during my training, it became apparent that many were new to the business world. Some did have access to resources to help them get their coaching practices started, but it was often much easier said than done.

More so for those with limited budgets because they had bravely left their full-time jobs to pursue their passion of life coaching or business coaching.

This brought me back again to how great it would be to have a directory for them to kick-start and sustain their business. Again though, there were some available but they were still far from ideal.

They were either:

• International - Your listing can easily get lost amongst thousands of others, plus marketing for the site isn't anywhere near as targeted
• Incomplete - Some don't provide a means to provide comprehensive information
• Dated - While the content was great, some were a little dated-looking which can potentially affect user engagement
• Expensive! - Some have quite a hefty price tag to list in their directory. This is for a number of factors, (such as adding a level of exclusivity), but this leaves a lot of coaches out in the cold. Running your own business is hard enough, let alone when access to important services is out of reach.

So for businesses, I thought how great it would be for them to gain access to targeted, comprehensive, innovative and accessible online advertising.

With both client and coach perspectives in mind, that's how the concept for Coach Connect Australia was conceived. A place where clients can easily connect with the best coach for them. And at the same time, a place for coaches to access effective marketing.

Better still, in creating it I have been given the opportunity to raise awareness of the power of coaching, and assist people by connecting them with coaches who can help them achieve their goals. At the same time, I also get to help the coaches themselves to grow their businesses.

It’s the best win-win project I have ever worked on, and so far the most rewarding too!

Vision For Our Business & Life Coach Directory

Coach Connect Australia is a brand new Business & Life Coach Directory, and as such, we're still fine-tuning and refining what is currently available. It's important to me to get the foundations right before expanding further and making sure both our client and coach's needs are met.

For this reason, I absolutely love feedback (good or constructive) and would love to hear any comments you may have. I even have a specific form for you to do so!

Here are a few I have in mind:

• More Resources: There are already some in place but we will be expanding this.
• More categories and search refinements if needed (e.g. features, demographics etc.)
• The ability for coaches to sell products via their listing page (yew!)
